Circulated Wheat Penny Roll Hunt #1

    Hello everyone!
    I have looked through about 15 wheat penny rolls that my dad had saved from his childhood. I didn’t find anything amazing but I did find some decent coins. But he gave 5 more rolls and I figured I should share with you all what I find.

    No such thing as a 1929 proof;)you probably thought that because of the S mm but thats not always the case and all wheatie proofs were minted in Philly

    I'm 99% sure that's a lamination error on the reverse of the '29.

    This coin is worn to crap! But I’m glad I found a 1919 in there:)

    The VDB looks like it still has some “red” on it. Very nice. Your 1929-S looks like a lamination error. That’s a good find, too.

    It's actually very common to find worn wheats like this that were put away in the 50's - 70's and have been left intact and unfiltered. It's just that they're not commonly seen as coin dealers and the like filter out the worn ones from being made available in their trays or albums. It's rather a shame because they tend to have more character than less worn ones.
