This is a well circulated dirty coin that has been handled by at least three people other than me before it made its way to me.&nbsp; Those three people are not coin collectors so I am sure what ever may have been on the coin prior to being cashed in is long gone.&nbsp; Lets face it folks - the police are not going to care about this one coin and it is obvious it&#039;s not worth more than the silver - especially to a dealer.&nbsp; If it looked like it had been recently broken out of a 2x2 or TPG slab this could be a different conversation.&nbsp; It is just as likely that it was given to a kid as a gift from a relative or friend of the family.&nbsp; It could have just as easily then been traded for some wanted item and then making it way to a bank for something the owner could actually use in a store without much grief.&nbsp; If more silver comes into the bank from the same source my teller friend will I&#039;m sure comment on it to the proper people to avoid any risk of accepting stolen goods.&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>There is always the possibility that it was taken from someone unknowingly but what is the bank or me supposed to do about every piece of silver that comes into the bank.&nbsp; It happens all the time!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>It has a safe home for now![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
