CICF trip report

    No need to apologize :) You never know what a person may or may not have done. I did talk to several dealers but none of them had the coin(s) I was looking for at the show or back at their shops. Thanks for the info on the NYINC. I'll have to look that up and see when it's held. I'd rather not be there during the winter lol

    :( Its in January.

    It used to be in early December, but was held at the world trade center, and after...... they couldn't find a good spot for it until Jan. Still a world class show, I would consider it before going all of the way to Berlin.

    My understanding is that the Berlin show has many world mints represented. That said, I would think they would have a terrific selection of very modern material. But I kind of doubt the prices would be very attractive, especially converting from dollars to Euros to buy anything. Of course there are probably exceptions. I read that Austrian modern commemoratives in particular sell for about half what they fetch here in the US. All that said, I think he's probably correct that there wasn't too much modern material at the CICF. Certainly less than what I remember 10 years ago in 2002, the last time I attended prior to this year.
