    No, I'm not but there were 3 or 4 of his decedents there.
    I wouldn't call it a private event, it was sponsored by the Liberty Seated Coin Club. The cemetery is open to the public.
    Funny thing I'm a FAR distant relative of Daniel Boone.

    Very nice! I see that John Frost was also there (photo with Ben). I've not yet met him in person but have worked with him on many articles for BCCS journal. I know he's heavily involved with LSCC too. He sure gets around!

    What's the story behind "the search for the Gobrecht burial plot"?

    The cemetery where Gobrecht and his family were originally buried was purchased by a university to be used for new building projects and all the graves were moved to a new cemetery. The original headstones were destroyed. The Liberty Seated Collector Club (LSCC) decided to honor Gobrecht by having this new marker made and placed in the new cemetery where he and his families remains were reburied.
