That is, as if each mark on the plate was not made by hand engraving but rather a type of engraving deduced from a posterized image and reproduced on a plate by a plotter that engraves. Maybe it is hand engraved but the image was digitally worked on before the design put on the plate and engraved. There's just something I can sense about the style of the image that feels different.
