Chocolate Nero Tet

    Here is another Nero that I only added because it was just too cheap to pass up.

    Has a nice chocolate brown look to it.

    EGYPT, Alexandria
    O: NERW KLAY KAIS SEB GER, radiate head right, aegis on chest.
    R: AYTO-KRA, draped bust of Alexandria right, wearing elephant skin headdress; date LIB to right.
    Alexandria, Egypt. Dated Year 12 (65 - 66 A.D.)

    RPC 5289; Milne 238; Dattari 204; Geissen 172; Sear 2004.

    I like it Mat!! The chocolate patina and overall eye appeal (plus a bargain price) make it a no brainer to me.

    Love Chris' Tet too!!!

    That is a really great tet Mat! The dark toning greatly adds to its appeal.

    Probably shouldn't bite into this one. I guaranty it won't taste like chocolate. It would taste like Verdicare.

    I found this in US seller's bargain bin. It was fun to preserve it and learn about the coin. It's the Nero obverse, Alexandria reverse but not nearly as nice as Mat's OP coin.
