Chipped penny found in fine roll. Need answers

Hello all I’m new to numismatics and got my first dime roll today. I opened it and found this penny and I’m confused on how it got in there and if it had to do with the chip. Also I assume this is just a broken penny but I wanted to be sure that it’s not an error of any sort. Thank you for your time, everyone has been helpful in correcting my mistakes and answering my questions so far

That penny has had a rough life. It is most likely PMD (post-mint damage), meaning it acquired the damage you see after it left the mint. Not an error, no additional value, just another ol' penny.

 

Copper coated zinc cents are easily cut by any kind of cutting tool or pliers.

 

I see you somehow created 3 threads exactly the same.. How did you do that?

Copper plating exposed caused that area to rot away.

 

Well... I pressed back after I posted the thread to try and fix the post title since you cant change it in the edit. It didn't work so I made another attempt. Little did I know it created the thread again instead of editing it. I didn't think anything happened because it only showed me the original thread dafter I posted the new ones. Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who thought this was annoying.

It's damaged so spend it fast before more of the cheap zinc cent disappears.

 

If you refresh the screen it can create a post or in this case a thread multiple times.
