IMHO, I think the smaller fractional gold stuff has too much of a premium. That 3g gold is less than 1/10oz and the cash price is $132.61. if you multiply that out times 10 that would be 1326.10/oz...more since 3g is less than a tenth.

I like the panda design but I think the premiums are too high. I also don't think you won't get your $$ back if you sell back to a LCS.

What are your goals with buying gold? Do you like the design or are you looking to stack and keep the buy/sell as close as possible?

I'm working on building my gold stash. Fractional at 5% premiums is not bad. A one ounce AGE is $1,366 right now.

I prefer bigger gold too vice the 1/10 oz size. The only gold I have is a 20 Franc Rooster (roughly nickel sized), some British Sovereigns(quarter sized), and a couple 1 oz Gold Maples.

I've got a couple one ounce Buffs but the rest is fractional that I got when they had sales and low premiums. I didn't see a buy back from Provident on this so I was wanting to know what was going on.

Have many 1/10 OZ gold in my Investment/collection such as Krugers, Libertads,
and eagles, but have found buying fractional gold is on the expensive side especially
The premiums for the rarer stuff, so i have been trying to stick with the 1 OZ varieties Kruggers and the Queens beast Series just bough the 2017 Dragon a couple months back, am looking to buy the 2018 Unicorn next. still need the lion
and griffin to complete the set.

I think this is worth picking up if you have a $5 coupon code sitting around. You can get it for around $127 ($1333 an ounce) with gold at $1303 an ounce. That's only 2.5% over.

However, I think we'll see a gold drop in the next few months, so keep that in mind. I bought one at this price because I have nothing Chinese and want at least one in my "collection" or is it my investment? I don't remember...

I'm a little disappointed in Provident. I understand we had the holidays, but my order still hasn't shipped 8 days after placing it.
