Chinese or Japanese coin/token

    I found this in a junk bin today. It doesn't look like a coin I've ever seen, though I can't count it out. I figured a token is probably more likely. Anyone know what this is? japanese.jpg

    Not sure, but here's one for sale for $1500 Taiwan.
    It mentions Emperor Guangxu and I think it says 1908.
    戊申 is a year in the 60 year cycle such as 1908 and 1968.
    Some sore of a medal worth 10 cash maybe?
    I can find lots of examples with an image search, but they are all in Chinese only.

    Its from central mint. Relatively common however getting a bit harder to find these days.

    Still worth more than a few dollars
