What beautiful work they did on that Brown /Orange note as well as the Green 10 cent note!
I could swear that the work on the 10 cent note looks likt that of the "American Bank note Co" Fractionals!!

Do you have any information on that note and who the Japanese contracted out to??

Know what you mean Rickie but having difficulty finding info on the Amoy notes other than it was a Japanese operation rather than a Chinese local Bank issue, I do know that the American Bank note Co did a awful lot of notes for the Chinese market, so it is allways a possibility.

It is doubtful that the Amoy note was printed by American Bank Note. It would have been a violation of US law for a US company to contract with any of the Axis Powers during the war. American Bank Note printed a number of notes for the Chinese government in Nanking who would have been very unhappy if ABNC was printing notes for the Japanese in China at the same time.

The note was issued in 1940 but might have been produced prior to WWII starting so there is a possibility it could have been produced by ABNC. As I say though I still dont know enough about it to say for sure one way or another.

The title is "All The Money In The World" by Douglas Mudd. The descriptions are brief but the pictures are very nice.
