Cherry picking foreign coins at flea market ect in lot boxes?

    The digital versions are a lot easier to carry with you, but at home I can locate things much faster and easier in the paper books. Plus there are things in the older books that aren't in the more recent editions due to stuff such as varieties and images being left out to make the books smaller. If I have something I can't find in the recent editions I can always go back to the older ones and see if I can find it there. I have all the Standard catalogs going back to the first one in 1972.

    Exactly. Though in my case I no longer have any older paper editions. Too many years of living in a cramped space (tiny mobile homes and such). I divested myself of most of my library and use mostly online reference material nowadays. Still, like you said, there are times when there's no good substitute for the old books.
