This coin was found by a friend digging in Israel. Does anybody know how old or howuch it is worth. It's very wore down but old!

Sadly, its condition is fairly poor, so I am unable to recognise your new treasure

=> but I hope it ends-up being a winner (cool tale if nothing else ... good luck)

I sort-of recognize the head of Zeus and a dotted border. It could be Ptolemaic, or any of a number of autonomous city issues, but that's the best I can do. What it's worth depends on what someone would be willing to pay for it, but I can't imagine it selling on eBay (for instance) for more that five dollars, given its condition.

hmmm...on the first pic is there a cross in the middle, and letters around the edge?

Looks more like a LRB to me, with the obverse facing facing 11 o clock, and maybe two soldiers reverse. Just a guess from the pic.

How much does it weigh OP? What are the dimensions? Roman late coins were much thinner than any greek or roman provincial coins.
