Okay as some of you know I have a small collection of George Soley tokens, I'm talking about the man who traveled from various historical events to sell his tokens, top link. He's mostly famous for his prayer tokens, the 13mm prayer tokens pic below as he was the first one to think of this idea and he sold his tokens at the US Mint in Philadelphia and at historical events at various Cities, maybe even different States. :cigar: Let me stop as I'm getting off subject, the subject of this post is about these two different tokens and I don't know for sure who made them but what surprised me is the difference in the wording. The last sentence is suppose to read "but deliver us from evil", like the 1879 reads. As you can see the bottom token, the 1882 says "but deliver us from the evil one!" :) That's it, I just found it unique so I wanted to share it! :D This is truly rare, not expensive or in high demand but definitely rare! lol.gif Any one else collect these prayer tokens or historical tokens from the late 1800's?
