Look at the face, a line at about 45 from left to right down. Fold the bottom half up at that angle face down and you can see how it intersects. :hammer:-O)
Thank you for the analysis for this occurence. What I never mentioned is that I did not own the note at the time I posted it. The owner let me research and scan it. Having researched this quite a bit and I made several offers to the owner, I was just contacted yesterday that the owner will sell it to me at my offer. I will pick this note up this weekend and might I add I am very very pleased to add it to the note collection. It will be graded at the ANA in Boston next month. As for the value...the BigH has it about right. Thanks again for the information Numbers..appreciate that. RickieB
mpcusa.. Major cutting errors demand quite the nice premium...as mentioned BighH's reply is pretty close to what this note will draw. Regards, RickieB
I've been watching for notes like that. The closest I got was when one of the cashiers from the grocery store told me she had a bill that morning with extra paper which she diligently trimmed off with scissors! I just nodded and said if she ever gets another one like that to save it for me. But this may have been a once in a lifetime event. No sense getting upset and I didn't want her to feel bad about what she had done.
I picked this note up today and it's tucked away in the safe until the ANA in Boston. Anyone care to estimate what I paid? RickieB
