That is THE Superior Galleries. And almost 800 of the ebay listings were placed on ebay today. All of those items are being offered at the Texas Money Show Auction in Houston on Jan 29th.

So any mistakes you might see - like with the auction linked in this thread - are very likely just that - mistakes. It happens when you try and enter 800 of them in one day.

The e-mail address and phone number in the listing are the same as the real one's Numismatist ads. I'm hoping to learn that it's a highjacked ID, if it is the real Superior, they need to be reported to the ANA as well as EBay.

Edited to add:No response to my e-mail, and look what I found in the small (really) print:
Looks like they didn't have any stock pictures with the right year or mint mark, so they blurred the date and hoped no one would enlarge the picture of the reverse.

I don't care who they are. I find many of their eBay auctions slipshod and unacceptable. I wouldn't accept this from a smaller seller and I'm sure that no one else would either. So sorry they couldn't budget their time better, but as a result, I am not at all impressed by them and would not buy from them. The amount of money that this company is worth means nothing to me.

    Remember when I e-mailed Superior?
    Well, they finally answered:
I'm mildly curious about how truthful they are being, but nowhere near enough to wade through all their auctions and check.

Hey, Roy, we make a good team. I don't know if it was your email or my report, but all of the auctions are fixed. A couple still have the photoshopped pictures as the gallery image but all of the pictures in the auctions are the real deal. (You knew that I would be just obsessive enough to check them all, didn't you? :D )

Good work, Roy. Way to go! :D
