Given after 1890 to soldiers, it was a widely used medal in WW1 both to Turkish and German soldiers. It was struck both in gold and silver, i have the silver one. The silver medal has 2 variants, 1 made in Turkey and the other one in germany. The german version seems to be made of better quality silver.
