You took to this real quick, @Shrews1994, and we can't say the same for everyone who stumbles in here. You "get" it, this is a hobby. Many unfortunately never do get that. The poor souls, preoccupied with their high-powered microscopes, think about nothing more than finding that diamond of a coin in the haystack. Kudos to @Paddy54, and credit the rest of us with an assist. You're one of us, now, kid, and there ain't no turning back. :)

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Is that first one the piedfort (double thick) or is it the regular issue? Very cool. If you aren't aware, that is the French companion piece to the 6 piece set issued by the US to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the construction of the Statue of Liberty. Here's the US set:

    Really nice. Thanks for sharing!

I bet some people will look at the coin from France depicting the Statue of Loberty and ask why? If the Statue is in the New York Harbor.

Congrats, Shrews. Two quality additions to your collection, particularly the Manitoba dollar. Sweet!

Also, great to see you venturing over to the "dark side" (i.e., world coins). Beware...once you go through that door there's no going back.
