Great coin randygeki, looks like good silver content and nice surfaces. Fantastic coin arashpour with great detail, I like this type as they have a different portrait to other Nero types.
Here's my recent Nero tet acquisition, 25mm 12.73 grams, Serapis reverse, whom I think was a cool syncretic god. Has kind of a silvery appearance too, which is nice for a billon tet.
Thanks for the interesting post, @Ancient Aussie ! Your coin is very cool—the galley on the reverse particularly. The portrait of Nero is very interesting and different from many that don't portray him in a very flattering manner. Here is a coin that I almost forgot that I had from my small Antioch collection.
Thanks, your's is another with a great portrait of Nero and love the patina, good to see Moneta is still selling some nice coins as I have bought a few from them in my early days of collecting.
Thanks @Ancient Aussie I like your coin alot too it is very nice portrait and the image of ship amazing piece!
Considering the fact the thread is called cheap Nero galley, I figured you'd be showing us a real dog! And nothing could be further from the truth. Beautiful New acquisition @Ancient Aussie! Here's a Nero.. A Galley... And a V coins purchase (a barely discernable Marius)!
I know this thread is about cheap nero coins, but I challenge people here if someone has a Nero gold post it please. Those are my dream coins and too high for me to afford (let's see who is the rich guys here lol )
