Cheap LRB's

    Got these for around $12 on e-bay.

    I know nothing spectacular, but good for me to try and identify...

    Now, I started out with this one as a Constantine Campgate (3.13 g 18 mm) and the closest I could come was Constantine I, 317 AD, RIC VII 16B, Herculea mint

    Did you check Thessalonica? The mint mark looks like it might be SMTS.

    The mintmark is MHTB, so Kentucky has it right with RIC VII Heraclea 16.

    I think you did quite well. I've done similar, buying a few from LCS (who doesn't generally have Ancients) to try to attribute them, and haven't made any progress, lol. I haven't decided if I'm stupid, or just "educated beyond my intelligence".

    Thanks, it's just that there are some minor differences, such as the gate having 7 layers instead of 6...

    The number of layers does not change the RIC number, it is just something that some note.
