I’d buy it for a $1.04 all day long. Probably is better in hand too. 65RB based on those photos.

I didn't expect to win, I just happened to check my email and saw that I won it two days ago and had to pay

Not bad by any means :)

It was meant to be. I've done that before also. Throw a silly low bid at something and get it. Got a Wyland painting appraised at $4,000 for $60. My sister almost fainted when I gave it to her for her birthday. She knows the artist and has a "Ocean/Beach" decor at home.
    Nice pick-up.

That’s a great pick up and it’s my birth year. I’ve said the mint made great coins in 1954 and this one proves it.

Well, it was apparently shipped on March 21st. Still hasn't arrived. I messaged the seller, who very obviously didn't send it with tracking (don't blame him).

    I said:
All I wanted to know was whether it was shipped or not, but the slightly passive-aggressive response (below) makes me wonder if it was shipped at all. I don't have anything definitive of this, but I just feel suspect about the situation.

by the way - estimated delivery was 10 days ago

    I'll be patient...

Not sure what you bought but if he shipped a coin in an envelope you may never see it. Either from theft or it was destroyed in a machine. The machine for letter mail is wide and about 2 feet deep. The machines are capable of processing up to 24 letters a minute. And the machine holds between 200 to 250 letters at a time. When something solid in an envelope like a coin, a comb, a nail file, etc. hit the first turn it can shoot out of the envelope like a bullet out of a gun. There are a quarter inch steel plates on each end of the machine that catch these flying objects. You’d be surprised how often does type thing happens. And whatever is in the envelope that comes flying out is destroyed. Hopefully you’ll get it though.

Trust me.. I know about those.

I would hope an eBay seller with 1900 stars or whatever would be smarter than that, but eBay surprises me often.

To be honest, the idiot probably just threw it in an envelope haphazardly. I ship coins via envelope all the time and take the utmost care in packaging them. Never had any problems whatsoever.
