<p>[QUOTE=&quot;illini420, post: 1264059, member: 19423&quot;]Was a fun show, didn&#039;t buy much on the floor, but I did sell quite a bit, even a few I didn&#039;t really want to sell too much, but when I threw out my &quot;high&quot; price, the dealer wrote the check... so I guess my price wasn&#039;t high enough!!&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Also dropped off a coin at NGC to get the variety attributed (a 1909 VDB in MS64RD that is really a DDO #2 FS-1102).&nbsp; Stopped by the Great Collections table and consigned around 25 coins to them so I&#039;m pretty excited to see how those do in auctions over the next couple of weeks.&nbsp; If you haven&#039;t checked out GreatCollections.com, you should as there are plently of cool coins for sale there each Sunday.</p><p><br /></p><p>Won a couple of coins in the Heritage auction, will post those I&#039;m sure after I get them and image them... the Heritage photos really suck which I hope helped me get a deal... very glad I live close enough to attend lot viewing!&nbsp; Also tied on a coin for the first time at Heritage.&nbsp; During the live auction I put in a live proxy bid for $1200 ($1380 w/ BP) on a coin I knew was worth maybe $1800-$2000.&nbsp; Later that night, I checked Heritage and it said the coin was sold for $1380 so I figured that was my bid and that I won.&nbsp; NOPE!!!!&nbsp; Apparently a bidder also put in $1200 for their max bid, but they did so during the pre-auction bidding.&nbsp; Since their $1200 went in first, they get the coin.&nbsp; Sort of a bummer, but I know the guy who won it pretty well so that&#039;s cool <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>The collector displays were lots of fun and I&#039;m glad more folks got to see my 1908-S IHC set, thanks for the pics Charmy.&nbsp; The World Coin Zoo display was neat and there were a few other really nice displays including one with a bunch of National Bank Notes all from the San Diego bank and a display on Chinese Panda coins.&nbsp; The current top ranked Barber Half Dollar Registry Set on display by PCGS was also awesome to see in person![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
