    Thanks everyone!

I too am happy to have acquired such an unusual pop-out to add to my collection. Plus it's the first button piece with a stem that I have found.

Yes, Nina does like to eat, but she has so much energy and loves to work out so she doesn't have one ounce of fat on that little body of hers!

Thank you CoinZip - asking if I have any Half Dollars is like asking a squirrel for a carrot! ;-)

Even though this Baltimore show was not the best Baltimore show I've had, being on Halloween made it a lot more fun and more memorable. And one of the things that many dealers look forward to when attending the Baltimore show is the city's amazing food! So I always try to mix pleasure with work - that's why I love my "job" so much!

Are there any serious show reports anymore? I don't mean to be rude but most collectors and dealers are not wealthy and don't live high on the hog but take the hobby seriously as an alternative to paper investments.

Wow, not to be rude either, but you certainly don't have to read my reports if they offend you. My show reports are a mix of coins, bourse show business and people, and after-show activities.

And just because I have fun at what I do absolutely does not mean I don't take it seriously. While I do not feel I need to justify how I conduct my business to anyone, let me just say that I absolutely love coins and have various coin collections in addition to my business inventory. This is how I make a living so you better believe I take being a coin dealer seriously. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it.

IMO, coin shows should be about having some fun, meeting people, even a bit of "escapism."--to that end, the Halloween pics were a serious nice touch. I would even say that these are the type of things that give coins and coin collecting charactor or soul.

When we want to be serious there's always "Live to fight another decade" over coin grading.

Guess that a "seller" and a "buyer" tend to have different perspectives when it comes to such (bigger, more than one day) coin shows. The collector who comes to a coin show for some time in order to view, admire and maybe purchase coins may want to read reports that focus on the exhibits. Shortly after your visit you may be back at work, or at home, or enjoy an evening with friends or ...

For a dealer who spends many hours at the show, sets up a booth, and is there for several hours every day, three days (or whatever) in a row, such "social activities" around the show have a higher relevance. If there is an opportunity to have a good time with other dealers, be they friends or just interesting new contacts, go for it. Now I may say, Halloween, meh. :) Also, I am not into wines and casinos. But I do like to hear or read about what others have experienced at and around such a show.

Side note: At many coin shows, photographing is not allowed, or OK under certain conditions only. And sometimes there is hardly any time for dealers to take lots of coin photos. ;)
