Great pickups PL, my favorite is the ANACS '91, just something about it really strikes me, but I'm just another rookie, only been collecting cents since 1957. LOL

Travis, got some pretty proofs just waiting for a new home!

And thank you everyone for all your kind comments, majorbigtime notwithstanding! I well understand you can't please everyone.

I really love coins with "personality" and that's what I specifically look for when choosing coins for my collection. I especially like die cracks and haven't seen a Flying Eagle before with such a large die crack as this 1858. But the toning on the 1862 is really outstanding and is my favorite. I had to pay extra strong to acquire it, mostly due to the rarity of the bold misplaced date on this particular date(which honestly isn't as big of a deal to me). However, to me, it was really worth it because this coin, even with the couple spots by the nose, is truly gorgeous and made me say "Wow!" when I first saw it. And isn't that really what collecting coins is all about?

What's going on with the 1876 and the pimple by her mouth?

Ha! LOL! Snaz, that's just the Indian's bottom lip looking a little more pronounced due to the toning on the mouth area. ;)

I thought that was what you were referring to. I agree. It looks like some kind of die damage to me.
