What are these 'cheese curds' everyone is going on about?

 

Is it some new type of coin? A Variety? WHAT ARE THEY

 

Great report, as always, Penny Lady. Wow, cheese curds! I had a teaching colleague who hailed from Wisconsin. Whenever she returned home for a visit, she was always gracious enough to bring some back for me. Haven't seen them in years! It was fun to be reminded of them.

 

Their texture is sort of spongy and they are very yummy, even without being deep fried.

From Wiki: Cheese curds in cuisine, or cooking, are the solid parts of soured milk either eaten alone or used in various regional dishes, mostly in Quebec (Canada) and the northeastern and midwestern United States. They are sometimes referred to as "squeaky cheese."

 

Ah, good. Well, one photo - with the "Matt and Rick" caption, in #3 - does not show here, and I thought that was it ...

As for that one low score, phhh. Such an experience is frustrating, but one thumb down in a year or more you can deal with ...

I want to know the politics behind the judge who disqualified you from winning anything with the ridiculous low score. I have seen your reports before, I have seen your displays, I KNOW at the very minimum qualified for all categories. Do you have any idea why he did that? Did he have family entered in the contest? Maybe a couple bucks got thrown his way by your competition?

 

You know.... It's a good thing I had that grading class in a dark room the next morning....

I'm pretty sure I was introduced to Larry Shepherd at some point in the evening... I vaguely remember that.

Eh, it was from something several years ago when my attitude on forums was not as welcoming.

 

Well, that explained nothing...

 

I used one of her photos without permission and then told her to prove it was her's. Today, it doesn't even feel like something I would ever done. But back then I had a much different attitude.

 

Deep fried cheese curds kinda a different take on mozzerella sticks as their like mild cheddar I love cheese the only thing better is deep fried cheese goes great with beer oh wait everything goes great with beer!!

Yes it is, and primarily why I was taken aback at what she said after I told her my username. I don't hold grudges.

It reminds me of my cousin, who did not talk to her cousin for over 3 and a half years over some trivial remark she made.

 

And now they are married right?
