I had to skip the Philly show partly due to my commitment to the Buena Park which is a very convenient and low cost show for me to do, but more importantly, the rescheduled Tom Petty concert was Saturday night!! And what a great concert it was!! Originally, Joe Cxcker was supposed to open for Petty, but ZZ Top ended up being the opening band!! The Verizon amphitheater was packed, and we were on our feet most of the time! Here's a photo of Mr. Penny Lady and me in between ZZ Top and Tom Petty (and that's my souvenir sweatshirt from the Boston ANA!!).

Any way, I just got back from the show which started out slowly on Saturday but ended up being really busy today. Perhaps Saturday was slow due to all the sports games on tv, but today there was a lot of public. I was even able to buy several circulated and original unmolested large cent pieces today - nice large cents seem to always be popular, no matter what the grade, just as long as they aren't cleaned or porous. I also sold some great collector grade coins, and a couple really nice higher end Indian cents, one of which was a beautiful 1878 MS64 that was graded RB, but was truly 100% red in hand. I was happy to see it go to a good home where it will be truly appreciated! Here's a photo of the 1878.

A few forum members (and one ex-forum member!) even stopped by to say hi, and it's always great to see them, especially since I was working this show solo - my kids were out of town and my usual help had other obligations. So all in all, it was a very successful show - at least for me! Now it's on to the Portland PNNA show in a couple weeks.....
