The first one he happened to show was one I discovered a few years ago – the 1862 S-9 with a reverse die gauge (for obvious reasons, it’s affectionately called the “pe_is” coin). </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/qq139/thepennylady/2014%2006%20ANA%20Summer%20Seminar/IMG_5996_zps148d1f9c.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Afterwards, we did some more guess the grade. This purple magenta toned 1877 was one of the more beautiful coins he passed around for us to grade.
