change in nickel appearence

    To answer a question on the silver proof sets, I think the mint will have to consider striking the nickels in coin silver, and that very well may be the hold-up on the whole proof sets and why they shot the 2004 Silver Proof Quarters out the door early.

    Frankly, I think the mint is pushing the envelope just a little too hard. They didn't consider the impacts of releasing 7 limited series coins in a single year, or what the heck they were going to do with packaging, etc. IMHO, they either need to roadmap these changes to the program properly so they can deliver upon a set of expectations, or they need to slow down to what they can deliver on.

    how about a new prestige set with the silver struck coins included. that would be cool.

    That would be evil!!!! Can you imagine the confusion if the put out Prestige sets for the year six quarters with no others for years 1-5?

    The Prestige were made only from 83 thru 97, right?

    That would be - Bad ju-ju.....
