Chance this is an impaired proof 1875 twenty cent piece?

    First thing that came to my mind was. Impaired Proof.

    Tough call without seeing the rims better. A pl business strike regardless and a nice coin. I see it as a solid 55 anyway

    I have this 1875CC, AU53 with a CAC sticker - the strike is so bad that you can barely read the word "liberty" and the wings have very little detail. By comparison that's one fine strike you have there!

    The 1875-CC Twenty Cent Piece is noted for weak strikes, especially on the eagle’s left wing. This piece actually shows more detail on the Eagle than normal, but, I’m sorry fiddlehead, but the eye appeal and “LIBERTY” are sub-par for the AU grade. Which leads me to ask, why did CAC put its sticker on this piece?

    Exactly my thoughts. It looks more like an XF45 and the greenish color on the reverse appears to be PVC damage.
