Centennial Gold SLQ

This site is a bad influence!!..... I been collecting classic US gold since the 1980’s. Most all my gold was purchased near spot prices. I can’t go by an Indian head quarter or half eagle without taking it home. Other than the rolls of Eagles I buy each year to set back for the kids and grandkids I pretty much shunned modern mint releases. It was rather hard for me to spend a premium over spot on this SLQ. I just so love the SLQ design..... But now it is rather like having an empty hole in a Dansco (something I loathe). Rather do feel like I need the set complete. Willpower? Me? Ha!

I fell for this. Got an SP70 Merc at a great price. Then I saw an SP70 SLQ at a great price.

Before I knew it, two down, one to go.

You could trade a dog for that last piece...I mean you do have extras.

Edit: I see that you mention switching the item to the coins category. I was not aware that a seller could do that.

 

Do it; I have two complete sets. The cost to collect is reasonable, many original condition coins are still out there, too. IMO a beautiful coin!

 

You're welcome. I just got 10% bucks today, not sure if others did, too.

They're not valid in bullion so since these coins are not really bullion since they trade way above melt, seller might list it in us coins - modern.

 

Next you'll get me to buy the complete set of 2016 Commemorative Gold coins.

I like the Kennedy 3/4 not becz it's Kennedy but becz there are few 3/4 oz gold coins out there.

 

I like the Eagle design .. a little, but not much. I'm waiting for the OGP sales to drop closer to spot … and for me to have more money. lol
