If its an either / or determination then #1 is the clear winner in my book.

Should I have to keep one of those two, I would go for the first one, but I would prefer to sell both and buy a better one, as suggested by Doug

I agree with Alegandron....never sell your coins/ I have been busy adding coins , year after year, now upto 850 and counting. That number only is for AV ones/ have same number in other metals+600 US/Canada obsolete banknotes all fully Uncirculated and better:) My wife is "lucky" since she enlists me into doing housework, while I am unemployed during Winter months:( But, on times I escape that dreaded scene to go off snowmobiling with the "boys";)

The ONLY time I have ever sold a coin was to upgrade it from EF to "mintstate" quality, which is OK by my way of thinking.

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts!

I will keep it until I find something better :).

    I certainly hope so!

Yes! I shall do that! My problem is that Sestertii of Trajan Decius are usually made of a degraded alloy of metal that is...
    1) ... prone to corrosion
    2) ... even when cleaned almost never showing that yellowish tone desired by myself (my first coin is a rare exception - that is what made me buy it)
    3) ... nearly always attracts a thick blackish patina, but never a thin tan or light brown one (that I would like and that is not uncommon on coins of earlier 3rd century Bronzes) and that preserves the details.

There is nothing I like about the second coin except the full flan and complete legends, so I will sell it. If anyone wants it or has a yellowish Sestertius (of any ruler, no matter if it´s cleaned) to trade, feel free to let me know.

I thougt about getting a really neat Antoninianus of Decius instead of that perfect Sestertius that never comes, but my recent find of a (considering my demands) practically unimprovable Maximinus Thrax Sestertius (posted elsewhere on this forum) raises new hopes :).

You are right! I´ll wait for something spectacular or get no further Trajan Decius at all.
