Very nice! That should more than make up for the Vespasian!

Yes, I was on the rebound and looking to take solace in the arms of another. Not nearly as pretty as the Vespasian but higher status so ...

Wow, what a rebound! This type with Caesar's actual age marked on it is really special. I don't know that there was another instance of this occuring on a Roman coin.

Well I joined the JC Club as well today and was lucky in the Naville Auction this weekend. The coin has a test mark but was within my budget. I was lucky as my maximum bid made it. This fits nicely with some of my other "captures" coins.
There is an interesting iridescent blue tone around 11 o'clock on the obverse.
Iulius Caesar. Denarius Spain 46-45, AR 18mm., 3.68g. Diademed head of Venus r.; behind, Cupid. Rev. Two captives seated at sides of trophy with oval shield and carnyx in each hand; in exergue, CAESAR. Babelon Julia 11. C. 13. Sydenham 1014. Sear Imperators 58. RBW 1639. Crawford 468/1.

Toned, test cut on edge on obv.; otherwise Very Fine.
