<p>
There was a thread on a different forum I subscribe too that addressed CEC as a viable third party grader. I ran an experiment in which I won an auction for 3 consecutive $1 2006 New York Star notes that I didn't need just to see how close to grade 70 they are. I won the auction for $9 and free shipping for all 3 notes. After recieving the notes, I scannned them in their holders, and then cut them out and re-scanned them. These are the results;</p><p><img src="http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/mbwizkid/scan0018-11.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/mbwizkid/scan0019-12.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/mbwizkid/scan0020-12.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /><img src="http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/mbwizkid/scan0021-11.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p>All of the notes are without folds,pinholes,or corner bumps. The notes are all CH-CU with GEM centering, and would probably grade at 64 thru 66 range with a PPQ/EPQ notation. The CEC notes I saw on eBay are all being sold by debockstate. Most of the notes are fairly current, CH-CU notes. The CEC holders are smaller than traditional TPG holders, and feel like the plastic of a beachball.
</p><p><br /></p>
