    The coins of the GSA hoard are very collectible. There are a few books on the hoard that have photographs of each date and lots of great info, they can be a great (budget friendly) substitute when the coins are a bit out of your reach.

    The Blue Book lists the average price dealers were paying for US coins. Since prices fluctuate, personally, I wouldn't buy it.

    You buy the Red Book for the wealth of knowledge it contains not the prices. Those are - at best - full retail and out of date due to publication cycles (the 2020 book is released mid 2019 so the prices were as of early 2019).
