Official name is "Los Estados Unidos de Mexico" which literally translates to "The United States of Mexico." However most people, even Mexicans themselves, commonly refer to it as just "Mexico," similar to the way most people refer to the "United States of America" as just the "United States" or "America." There's been similar arguments here about "penny" vs. "cent." It all boils down to the fact that common linguistic convention does not always follow strict official defintions. Deal with it; that's just the reality of language... words mean what they do because of the way people use them. Dictionaries reflect the conventional ways are used... they do not set the conventions. General consensus is what sets the conventional meanings of words, and they can, and do, change constantly. This all probably has little to do with the original post, but since my reaction to the OP is just read what you want and ignore anything else, I'm sure anyone who is bothered by that will just igonre it anyway lol...
one is bound by the laws of one's country when in that country, and sometimes, even when not in that country. just because a server is located in Kansas does not mean someone from China is able to post freely what is on their mind. the internet allows one the freedom to exchange ideas, but that does not mean it is legal. posting classified documents is illegal, but the internet does not know what is posted - in fact, the internet is not even a thing, it's an idea. i guess what is obvious to some is far too complex for others. -steve
Supply and Demand makes prices rise, not the internet..... Scene 1: Garage sale in small town, 5 comic book collectors in town, low demand Internet, 1000's of collectors, large demand Steve, I really think you are now throwing out "jokes" disguised as comments just to push buttons. I do not believe that you can take some of your posts seriously, but are phishing for a reaction........
I believe (if not said already) that there needs to be maybe just one stickied thread for ebay warnings/con jobs...
I hear what you are saying, but there is one aspect where the US constitution does apply. The peoples have under its jurisdiction have the right to publish all that the constitution permits. Other jurisdictions may add, but they cannot reduce that freedom at least to our citizens. As for the rest of your post, I agree almost completely, but you might try voting more often. I understand that the owners MAY restrict the forum in any way they choose. I am just dumbfounded that the OP desires that the owners censure the forum to his requirements. First off, the owners would censure to their own design, not someone else's. Secondly, where does it end? Every time someone does not like AAA, it would be censured? Before long, everything would be censured and there would be no one left. The way the op "can ask serious questions" and can be assured that it continue that way is not to censure anything. The members can do their own censuring by choosing what they read and what they ignore.
