Take a look guys and let me know what you think : Real or Fake, value high or low, what ever else you want to comment. Personally, this is my first capped die error. Thanks for taking a look. I just noticed something....Does the word "Filipinas" look like it starts with a "P" as in "Pilipinas"?
Your photo look like it could be a Struck thru Debris or an Struck Thru Capped Die. What is the KM # of your coin? Did you purchase it as an error coin. All the modern coins use the Tagalog "Pilipinas". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coins_of_the_Philippine_peso
I'm going to say Capped Die (I voted who cares because that was funny) But I truly love it. Here are the 1974 coins https://en.numista.com/catalogue/in...&f=&g=&tb=y&tc=y&tn=y&tp=y&tt=y&cat=y&ct=coin
I've seen it spelled with a "Ph" and with an "F" (as in the coin above from John Wright). I guess I just hadn't noticed the "P" spelling before. Thanks for the enlightenment.
KM-196, I believe. The capped die is on the denomination side of the coin. It's a small coin so I assume it's a 1 Sentimo. Also the color, weight and texture seem right for aluminum. Yes, I did purchase it as a Capped Die Error. I'm so used to buying the older silver coins, like John Wright's Peso, that I was expecting the word to be spelled FILIPINAS, like his.
Yeah, I think so too. The first time I did a Poll , 9ball wrote that I left off an option : "Who Cares", so I've been adding that choice ever since just for that Bombastic Billiards Boy, 9ball. lol Thanks for the links.
Thanks John. Yeah, I like that one also. I also like the non-error Pesos. Not too big, not too small, they definitely have a presence in your hand. I also like the Philippines under Spanish rule coins, with the Pillar Dollar style and the variety of rulers. I got this one about a month? ago. Thanks everybody for the interest and the comments.
