First things first PCGS Photo grade will not take into effect a weak strike/struck coin such as this 1812 screw press minted one. So that being said a lot of the coins of this era and even up to the 1860's 1870's you will find many coins that have a strong side and a weak side due to the dies being loose not hubbed right or some other human/machine error to properly strike the coin. I am far from an expert on the hubbing/die making process and just what I had been taught from folks that know a lot more about than I do. But hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will be along and explain to the both of us.
