And I did think that NGC was being overly harsh on the second coin but now I guess I do see traces of wear in a couple of the usual spots.

But would I have seen them if I hadn't been told?

Another pursuit of mine is audio. In that field we insist on double-blind testing because the power of "confirmation bias" is so strong. That is, unless the information is kept from you, you'll be certain that that Accuphase amp really does sound better than the Pioneer. Well, it probably does.

Anybody with pictures that look like this should just be avoided completely. Look at the image and imagine that coin coming looking like that? I know there's a learning curve with ebay. If the pics look larger than life.... keep scrolling
