So I recently found this coin, and I can't find it anywhere on the internet. It might be a token, but if it's actually a coin from 1755 it might be worth something... lol
Reading it it appears to be a Catherine The Great kopek but this is from a rather sketchy reading of the obverse and the reverse shows a date a few years before she came to the Russian throne. But it does appear to say kopeck (kopek) Some clues for you to work on anyway.
@Kentucky was right it is Russian. Ebay link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Russian-1-Kopeck-copper-coin-dated-1755-new-/292107970419?hash=item4402fde773:g:IwkAAOSwqWNZABM3&nma=true&si=W6prKKULP9tAGTJ24SjczZ7833k%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 and it is copper.
found it in my 18th century 2002 Krause catalog. Russia, 1755CNE, Kopek-denomination, C#3.3, weight: 4 g. metal-copper, mintage-21,637,000, Ruler:Elizabeth grade/value VG-$15.00 F-$25.00 VF-$50.00 XF-$100.00 not sure what your coins grade is ? the value maybe higher than these values now.
with a mintage that high I doubt they would make fakes for it. someone out there can probably tell you the grade and it's current value.
