It moved from the center to the side with the 1953 series, where it has stayed through all subsequent series. I thought the reason for moving the portrait was the wear and tear on the center of the note when folded. I guess time will tell - maybe just a desire to change up the design? 100&#039;s do not seem to get much abuse, but when the high-usage polymer 5&#039;s, 10&#039;s and 20&#039;s arrive in 2013, I assume they will have a similar layout.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
