Did grandpa have anything else besides these and wheats? My Dad had a major amount of coin saved and when he died my brother just rolled it all and took it to the bank...grrrrrrrr No telling what was lost.
This is why we go to the bank and search rolls. (Well, not for your dad's coins, but other people's dad's coins.)
i have a chest full of mercury dimes, some indian head pennies, a folder of barbers, prob a dozen walking liberty and some morgans. they all mean nothing to me, because i don t have any clue what they are worth or what they could be worth as a lot. Hes got a ton of other stuff like proofs and stuff like that i have not the slightest idea what they are. lol. He collected since he was a kid so i got a ton of stuff. =)
wow lucky! I have none of those, so they dont mean much to me either..lol Im sure the kind people...who know just about everything in regards to coin, can help you out with whats hot or not, valuable etc....once you get it all sorted. Who knows, you just may have one of those rare, highly sought after coins that goes for MAJOR bucks!
