For quite awhile I was using the pricing guide built into CoinManage to give me a rough idea as to the value of my Canadian coins. Recently however, I picked up a 2007 edition of the Krause Guide for 20th Century coins and a 2008 Charlton Standard Catalogue of Canadian Coins. My question is this... did I miss something and not notice Canadian coin prices skyrocket from 2007 to 2008, or are the guys at Charlton smoking the drapes with their over-inflated prices? Coins on eBay rarely get sold for book value (unless they are rarities), but I can see a correlation between the selling prices and the CoinManage and Krause guides. The Charlton Catalogue on the otherhand, well, let's just say that according to those guys I'm a very rich man who got most of his Canadian coins at a pitance of their true value. I'd be interested in hearing the thoughts of other Canadain coin collectors on the Charlton Catalogues!
