Those were the days when Bell Canada (and its parent company BCE) was trying to discover what it wanted to be in the new deregulated world. Much like AT&T, they experimented with buying and selling several businesses. I always thought the image of one of our county’s last great monopolies actually having the right to print money was ironic. Someone else can help you with the value of the note, but my guess is that the story behind the note is likely worth more than the note itself – although it will be a nice family memento, I’m sure.     [/QUOTE]
