Just got the two I ordered via FedEx today and thought you all might like to see what it looks like. I think they did a pretty good job on them and the only thing I don't like is there is no mention of purity or weight on them.

The RCM puts the US Mint to shame...

Yeah, I'd have to say I really dig most of the Canadian coins they put out. I've been eyeballing one of their T-Rex Silver coins they put out back in 2009 since my 6 year old loves Dino's to help spark his interest in coins. :)

Canada does put out some nice coins. I'm really excited for the next coin in their wildlife series!!

I like some of Canada's coins also, but in the interest of full disclosure, I would say the following:

    1. I have found the incidence of milk-spotting to be significantly higher on Canadian coins, specifically the Maple Leafs and Wildlife Series than on the Silver Eagle. In fact, the Canadian Mint acknowledges this issue, but has basically said fixing it is not on their agenda.

    2. The price of "specialty coins" produced by the Canadian Mint tend to be higher relative to silver value than those produced by the U. S. Mint.

    3. Mrs. Personality's mug has been on every Canadian coin for years now. Maybe it could be replaced with a moose.

    4. The Wildlife Series has great eye appeal.

My favorite Canadian coin I actually own is the 2010 Maple Leaf Piedfort Proof. It is very stunning.

That isn't likely to happen ;) but I have to say that the current QEII effigy used by Canada is really hideous. I believe only Canada uses that particular effigy.
But Queenie can't live forever and sooner or later we'll get to see Prince Charlie's insipid puss on the coins.

That's not a pleasant thought. Now that they have somebody with eye appeal on the team, they should try to exploit it. My vote goes to Kate Middleton. I hope they put her on the fast track.

Just some information on anyone wanting to order from the Royal Canadian Mint.
I received my Dragon coins from the Royal Mint the other day. The coins are just beautiful.
Unfortunately the Canadian Royal Mint has a similar problem of proper packaging and shipping of their products that also occurs from the U.S. Mint.
Improper packing of coinage shipped/mailed in too large of shipping boxes. My Dragon coins were loose and not secure in the large box resulting in the coins being jostled around during mailing to the my address. Three of the small flaps on the red envelopes holding the coins and COA were damaged and torn. All the coins with the airtights luckily remained in the envelopes.
All the coins/envelopes were loose on the bottom of the mailer box with inflated type of plastic packing material on top of them. Not very secure packing.
I called the Royal Mint customer service and voiced my concerns since this has happened before on previous orders from them. They were understanding and said they would send me replacement Mint envelopes.
Just thought I would relay this to everyone.

I got one too. An awesome coin. The candian mint produces much better quality coinage than united states mint. I own more RCM bullion coins than american. Such a shame that USA mints cannot match there quality
