I appreciate all the information , and direction given to me by the other members with much more experience then I have. I have started to collect ancients , and I am very thankful to the members of cointalk for their indepth knowledge in this very interesting area of coin collecting. My first purchases were 300 uncleaned coins I picked up in an auction, and I am pleasantly surprised so far with the coins I have found and the condition. I have been working on cleaning these in distilled water , although a slow process , but happy with the results. In a few weeks after I get further on with my cleaning , I will post a number of the coins which I feel has made the purchase worth my time. I started reading cointalk about a year prior to buying any ancients but the members on here made it so interesting that I had to start. I caught the ancient coin bug , and happy I did. I thank everyone for all the jnformation that I get to read about this type of collecting , Learning about the coins and especially the history aspect is fantastic to learn about . My new hobby has put a spark back into my collecting . I used to sell coins on eBay and sold mostly newer items , and older Canadian silver coins and American type coins. I no longer sell anymore for a number of reasons , and the biggest reason is that I wanted to keep the really old ones and special ones for myself . So now I am strictly a collector and having fun thanks to the great bunch on Cointalk. I am happy to say after 3 years on eBay I only had 1 negative comment and 1 neutral. I used to sell under the name lambarcl. A funny name but it started out as my buyer site before turning it into a selling venture for several years. I just like to say that I am happy to be on here , and will continue asking for help every now and again knowing that this is a trusting, fun , and pleasant venue to become part of. I will contribute as much as possible when I may be able to help someone . It nice to be part of a positive informative group of good people . Thanks everyone!! Dillan
