When I stopped at the bank today, the teller that I went up to (and knows I collect coins) told me that a new teller got 5 silver dollars the other day, and the tellers I know told her to hold them for me. Earlier in the year I had gotten 14 Morgans and 3 Peace dollars at face from there, so my imagination was starting to take off. When she showed them to me, a bit of disappoint followed, as four of them were Ikes (1-1974 & 3-1976), but the other was a 1996 ASE. She asked if I wanted them for the $5 face value. There was no hesitation on my part. Even though I really only wanted the ASE, I took them all. I'm thinking if I start refusing some of the things they save for me, they might not be so inclined to save anything at all for me, so I always make a little fuss, give them plenty of thanks, and bring in special things for them from time to time. Besides, I'm sure I will get some enjoyment with the Ikes the next couple of times I get some young cashier.
