    @R_rabbit my old man's eyes can't see well enough to make out any detail on the coins, but we were helped by someone enlarging for us. When you post could you choose Enlarged pictures rather than thumbnails which automatically makes it easier for us to see any detail in the pictures that is there.

    Someone was stealing from the mint so they set him up with the dot penny

    Asked four coin collectors at lunch today. This may sound brusque, they didn't have a clue. Cheech says the dot was to catch a thief at the mint.
