Ancients or modern coins? If ancients, my advice is DON'T! They enforce very strongly their laws against ownership of ancient coins. Kerry Wetterstrom was a well known dealer who has vast knowledge on ancient Egyptian coins. When he went to Egypt as a tourist, for some reason people kept offering him coins on his tour group, but no one else. He went to a house of one of them, and found some fakes and a few authentic pieces. He said he knew he would have been led out in handcuffs if he purchased anything. He had his luggage torn open on many occasions when trying to leave the country.
Thanks for the advice about ancients. I collect 19th and 20th century coins. I will try to find information about Egyptian laws for coins from those eras.
