It was misinterpretation on my part. The seller was weighting whether to sell to me or to a local offer he received. He said he didn't like "our interaction". He was referring to the local guy.

A forum member doesn't feel comfortable selling me a coin lot. I don't want the lot anymore but feel that I should make sure he knows I'm not a scammer, in case he has some other stuff for sale in the future.
