IMG_3370.JPG IMG_3371.JPG Could the deterioration on reverse be the result of an error at the mint? I've included comparison photos of 2 different 2008 quarters. The most interesting is the the color of the rim (in photos) & the unfinished look of the reverse. If you can give me a few keywords so I can do the research myself, I have no idea what to search for.

    Welcome to CT!!

    I agree with the others.

As a side note: Great job with the close-up photography! Very clear and close.:)

Thanks! I'm using just an inexpensive set of clip-on lenses for my iPhone. The macro lens is awesome for close-ups. (A few of the photos I took through the lens of my microscope so they're fuzzy around the edges & a bit lax on detail)
