Just to make sure my old eyes aren't deceiving me. Does this look like the infamous BIE on a 1955 D? I thought they were mostly from the S mint in that year..... 1017182259 (2).jpg

Ah but here's the clincher, 1955-D Brownie...... I've seen them many times on '55-S Reds but the 1955-D BN? That's a first for me. Kinda caught my eye in a huge pile of penns like a little mouse running across the hall in the dark....

They all start as RED when newly minted. Just because it's Brown doesn't mean anything.. It's just a RED the toned over time. So.. It started off as a RED BIE then it transformed into a Brown BIE..

But if that makes you happy then good for you

any day I can wake up, find anything ,happiness, distaste, Die chips is a good day for me. PCGS for some reason has LWC BN's scored very favorable these days from G1 to MS. I guess because they exist.
